What is Multi-User Device Access and how does it work with my Hypershell X device?Updated 21 days ago
Multi-User Device Access allows multiple people to connect and use the same Hypershell X device, making it ideal for shared use among family members, friends, or teammates. Here’s how it works:
How do I connect multiple users to the Hypershell X device?
Each user must download the Hypershell+ app on their own device
Open the app and go to Home > Search for Device
Select the Hypershell X from the list and pair when available
Can multiple users connect at the same time?
No. The device supports only one active connection at a time.
If another user is currently connected, the device will appear grayed out and unavailable for pairing.
What does it mean when the device is grayed out?
This means the exoskeleton is currently in use by another user. You’ll need to wait for the session to end or the current user to disconnect before you can connect.
How does Exclusive Device Lock interact with Multi-User Access?
The Exclusive Device Lock feature restricts access, allowing only the authorized user to connect to the device.
When enabled, a lock icon will appear next to the device in the app
Any other user attempting to connect will see a notification that the device is locked
How do I enable or disable Exclusive Device Lock?
Open the Hypershell+ app
Navigate to My Profile > My Device > Exclusive Device Access
Toggle the lock on or off
What happens if I forget to enable the lock?
If the lock is not enabled, anyone within Bluetooth range can connect if the device is idle. To protect your device, it’s recommended to turn on the lock when not in use.
Will others be notified if my device is locked?
Yes. A lock icon will be displayed in their device list, and they’ll receive a message indicating that the device is restricted from access.
